About Us

Career services at IU Indianapolis are distributed, which means multiple career services offices exist on campus, serving different target populations of students and alumni. These offices also have varying resources to assist employers with candidate searches. School career offices maintain position posting systems linked through Handshake. Our structure allows school professionals to offer more targeted services to students and employers. The IU Indianapolis Career Services Council (CSC) allows campus career professionals to collaborate on events, programming, and more.

The IU Indianapolis Career Services Council promotes partnerships among the campuswide network of career services programs and community partners to help students and alumni explore, select, prepare for, and pursue their career goals. The council:

• Develops collaborative initiatives with both internal and external organizations and offices to foster joint programming, policies, and services.
• Fosters cooperative relationships with student development and academic units to inform students and alumni of available career-related resources.
• Supports events created by the CSC and its specific members.
• Provides professional development activities for CSC members.
